Comté cheese is a product of the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée. From the family of pressed cooked cheeses, Comté cheese is a cheese made from raw, partially skimmed cow's milk with a soft, creamy paste. Comté cheese is made in a traditional way, from raw milk of French Montbéliarde or Simmentale cows. The cows are fed exclusively on grass and hay. It is possible to obtain Comté cheeses of different seasons. Summer Comté: more diversified and fruity aromas, Winter Comté: more marked "hazelnut", vegetable or roasted nuances. Its texture: Varies according to the milk.
